The story behind it
This Latin proverb is often credited to Ovid – but it isn’t quite his. In his Remedies for Love, Ovid advises collecting many small pieces of advice, because “from many, a great heap will grow”. The idea is even older: around 700 BC the Greek poet Hesiod wrote that if you add a little to a little, and do it often, it soon becomes something great. The neat Latin line came later.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
