The story behind it
“Do not act as if thou wert going to live ten thousand years,” Marcus Aurelius reminded himself in the note this line comes from. His answer was not panic but focus: while you live, while it is still in your power, be good. No grand plan, no waiting for better circumstances – just the next good deed, today. Marcus wrote it in Greek in the private notebook we now call the Meditations; we set it in Latin, the language of his empire.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
