The story behind it
Epictetus (c. 50–135 AD) was born a slave and became one of the great Stoic teachers. For him, real freedom has nothing to do with chains: whoever is ruled by anger, fear or cravings is not free, no matter how rich or powerful. Only the one who masters himself is truly free.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
