The story behind it
“It is right to learn even from the enemy.” In Ovid’s Metamorphoses the goddess Juno says it – and then does exactly that. She has watched the god Bacchus drive his enemies mad, and she copies his method to take revenge on her own rivals. The lesson works in sport, business and war alike: watch your opponents closely – they are your best teachers.
