This crisp line sounds like Publilius Syrus, Rome’s master of the one-liner – but it is not among his collected sayings, and where it comes from is unknown. The idea is old and true: madness is contagious. A genuine line of Publilius says something similar: “The malice of one soon becomes the curse of all.” Panic, rage and folly still spread through a crowd like a wave.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
