“This is my love. This is my country.” In Virgil’s Aeneid, Aeneas says it to Dido, queen of Carthage, as he tells her he has to leave her. The gods have ordered him on to Italy, a land he has never seen, and that is what he means: Italy is his love and his country now. Rome begins with this choice, and it breaks Dido’s heart. Here the whole country fits inside one heart: hills, cypress trees, red roofs and one small ship with a red sail coming home.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
