Horace wrote it to his patron Maecenas, inviting him to leave the smoke, wealth and noise of Rome for a simple dinner under Horace’s modest roof. Let Jupiter fill tomorrow’s sky with black clouds or pure sunshine, he says – he cannot undo what is past. Master of himself and happy is the man who can say at the end of each day: I have lived.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
