The story behind it
“Eternal Rome.” Around 19 BC the poet Tibullus called Rome the “eternal city” – the earliest known use of the phrase in Latin literature. Emperor Hadrian dedicated a temple to Venus and Roma in AD 135 and put ROMA AETERNA on his coins. The name has stuck for more than 2,000 years. Here an old olive tree grows through the ruins of Roman arches and is still green.

How we check reviews
- Before publishing a buyer’s review, we check the order number against our orders. That is what the “Verified buyer” badge means.
- We publish every genuine review, positive or critical. We only remove spam, insults and personal data.
- We don’t pay for reviews and don’t reward them with discounts. If someone received a product for free as a sample, it says so on their review.
- The rating is the average of all published reviews of this product. Newest reviews are shown first.
